Van Halen Nation
Van Halen Nation was established in 2008 by founder, manager and lead vocalist, Marc Moore. Marc was introduced to the classic Van Halen in 1978 by his older brother and their music has been his largest influence ever since.
Marc started his music career in New Jersey as a drummer who sang lead vocals, but his desire was to be "Out front". His musical idols were first Elvis Presley, then David Lee Roth. After switching over to "Frontman" he began honing his stage presence and vocals which led to landing a local contract with talent agency as a David Lee Roth impersonator. After performing in many venues throughout the United States, Marc hooked up with a show that was performing internationally. The show performed in Canada, Mexico and South America and even produced a show in Japan. Marc parlayed his experiences and connections to sift through South Jerseys top musicians until he eventually found professionals that fit the chemistry he was looking for. His first find was longtime friend and bassist/vocalist, Pete Kamenakis. Also with international experience (having shared stages with The Tubes, Great White, Richard Marx, and Noel Redding/Mitch Mitchell [Jimi Hendrix Experience]) Pete is an award-winning artist and graduate of Musicians Institute College Of Contemporary Music. He was fortunate to attend intimate bass-instruction classes taught by well known bassist, Billy Sheehan (Mr Big, Talas and The David Lee Roth band). Marc’s second find was pile-driver drummer, Chris Nerone. Known throughout South Jersey as the “go to” drummer when you needed precision percussion. Chris had performed in many major tri-state venues with numerous top tier local bands. Even though he was known more for his original music, Chris had performed on the tribute circuit too. He has replicated Alex Van Halen’s iconic four bass drum set up, setting himself head and shoulders above the other Van Halen tribute drummers. The final piece to the VHN puzzle was guitarist, Rocco Corsaro. Finding a guitarist who could handle the Eddie Van Halen position was a daunting task. Fortunately for VHN, Rocco had been posting videos of himself playing Van Halen songs on YouTube. As luck would have it, Rocco lived close by and sealed the deal by absolutely “crushing it” at his audition. The more incredible fact was he was only eighteen years old at the time. With the final lineup in place and a professional work ethic backing them up, Van Halen Nation has been full speed ahead performing all the classic Van Halen hits and deep cuts in venues across America.
A VHN concert is a dynamic, high energy show performed with the subtleness of a flamethrower. Reminiscent of the original VH in the late 70s through the mid 80s. Both young and old from the east coast to the west coast have rave reviews about the VHN shows they’ve attended, and the band has accumulated an extensive following. Van Halen Nation has even performed at the iconic Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood California, on the very stage where the original Van Halen had cut their teeth before their 1978 tour. Van Halen Nation is the premier classic Van Halen tribute to the Diamond David Lee Roth era !
